Leapfrogging from our rather in depth discussion on branding for Sugar Cube. Studios, I figured it was high time I actually get mine 'right' this time around.
So, there's a little bit of daftness at play here, a little tragedy, and a giant fire breathing lizard. As for the big lizard itself, there's some nice bleak comedy in his expression. Maybe even pathos to the right viewer.
I used Sketchbook Pro for the painting, and Photoshop for the more graphical elements here (text, ident etc.) and on the whole I think I'm becoming a bit more confident with painting. Some of the brushes in Sketchbook in particular are exceptionally on point.
Anyway, I'll be tinkering away on things up till first day back, where I'm sure I'll quickly become embroiled in some massive project, start ripping my hair out and develop a taste for espressos and trance music.
I'm sure it'll be fine.
